This origami water bomb pumpkin is a water bomb. The only thing that makes it a pumpkin is that you use orange paper. A green “body” protrudes from the top of the model. and draw the eyes and mouth for the pumpkin lantern. This is a fun model: You need to drill a hole to inflate the model. It can be used as a table decoration because it is 3D.
Pumpkin origami with water bomb
Take a square piece of paper, fold it in half (left to right) and unfold. Repeat the folding from top to bottom; open.
If you’re using origami paper, start with the colored side above.
Turn the paper over.
Fold the paper diagonally. Open.
Shrink the paper along the existing fold lines. To do this, bring the top edge of the paper to the bottom. Connect the left and right sides of the paper sheet at the same time.
Continue until you get a triangular shape with two valves on the right and two valves on the left.
Work only on the upper wings: fold the corners to form a triangle on top.
We are working with the top level of the model. Fold it in the middle so that the left and right corners touch each other.
Fold the top corner of the paper down (connect the blue dots) to align with the fold just above. Open the right side of the pattern and repeat the process.
Open small “pockets” and place a piece of paper in the pockets. See the next picture.
Place the strips of paper securely in the pockets and press firmly to soften them.
Turn the model over.
Repeat steps 4 through 8 on this side of the pattern. First, fold the lower corners to form a triangle on top.
Fold the left and right corners so that they meet in the middle.
Fold the upper corners so that they touch the edge made above. Do this on both sides of the model. Expand.
Tuck the pointed wings into the pockets as in step 8.
If you want to pull the eyes and mouth, it’s time to do this before inflating. Rotate the model so that the hole (blue dot) is facing up.
Turn the “page” from right to left, as when turning the pages of a book. Slide right behind the model.
Turn the “page” from right to left as if you were turning a book. Slide it just behind the model.
Turn the model so that it faces the hole. Slide the 4 sheets apart.
Place the paper in your mouth and inflate the model so that it flies like a balloon.
Keep blowing until the origami water bomb pumpkin is completely inflated.
Rotate the model so that it fits on the base opposite the hole.
Use a narrow object such as a skewer and insert it into the hole to remove areas that are not completely swollen.
A ready-made origami pumpkin with a water bomb.
You can use everything as a base. Wrap a leaf of green paper and insert it into the hole at the top of the pattern. The method below is pretty cute.
Take a green paper about an inch longer than your water bomb pumpkin. Roll it into a thin tube. It should be thin enough to fit in the hole at the top of the depth load.
Press the bottom of the tube.
Place the tube on the flat surface obtained in step 2.
Continue pressing and squeezing the hose. Make abdominal muscles and folds perpendicular to each other.
When you finish, you will be given a roll of paper that has been compressed or compressed along its entire length.
Place this green stalk in the hole in the pumpkin.
